Dear VV members,
We aim to provide a platform for emerging female fine artists; as they are a highly underrepresented and often over-looked group.

‘Guevara to Goody’
26th March onwards, East end London. (Join the Bex Massey Group for all the latest information: http://www.facebook.com/update_security_info.php?wizard=1#!/group.php?gid=74585199250 )
This is Bex Massey’s first Guerrilla style project. She will be hitting the east end with one hundred reproductions of her new series of thirteen. Each drawing is incremental to the next and work specifically as five groups: All of which will be exhibited as a whole in one secret location (join her fb group before the 26th March, after which email us to be sent a map and brief synopsis of the project). Reproductions of which will be posted around other locations in the east end, in accompaniment with one unseen but directly referenced piece.
In keeping with the nature of guerrilla ventures, VV wants this to become an interactive project. We will therefore be making a limited edition artist book based on the event. We want to know what you think it means, why you’ve taken the picture and how the series and its editions affects you. Go check out the installation; spot its counter parts around the East end and interpret them as you see fit. Take some photographs and return to us (with contact details, and website if applicable) at: firstname.lastname@example.org
All successful photographs will be published on our site with links to your websites. The artist book compiled in response to this venture will be donated to the permanent collection at the Women’s library and Iniva-Institute of International Visual Arts.
Get snappy… We look forward to viewing your photographs… VVxx

Brief: In the run up to International Women’s Day (8th March 2011) VV have decided the time is ripe to showcase some fantastic emerging female talent on our blog. We are calling all female artists to produce a piece of work based upon what International Women’s Day means to you. Simply mail it to VV (email@example.com) with International Women’s Day in the subject line. Include a brief summary of your practice (150-300 words) and a website where applicable.
Deadline for submissions: Get your work to us by the 1st March and we will showcase a selection of work on our blog on the 8th to mark the day!
This is Bex’s submission from last year, Oil on Canvas, just to get you started!… VV xxx
